AION 2 Dual Clienting: The Built-In Two-Window Setup

AION 2 supports dual clients natively — how to open two windows, the follow-command trick for a support alt, and the account limits you must respect.

Two characters, one player — AION 2's launcher runs a second client without any third-party tools.

AION 2 supports dual clienting natively — no third-party tools, no hacks, no grey zone. A second account running alongside your main is a legitimate, launcher-supported setup, and for gold farming or group play it's a genuine multiplier.

Opening the Second Window

  1. Launch the game and log in your first account normally.
  2. Start the second client, either way works:
    • Run the launcher icon again — it opens a second instance directly
    • Right-click the game's taskbar icon and choose the launch option
  3. Set windowed mode and place both clients side by side. Alt+Tab (or plain mouse clicks) moves between them.

The Follow Trick

Managing two characters is mostly about the second one not needing management. On the alt, target your main and use the /follow command (or right-click the main's avatar and choose follow). The alt trails you automatically through routes and grind loops — your hands stay on the main.

The Pairing That Pays

The classic setup: main on full DPS duty, alt on a support class (the Chanter is the community favorite) following behind with buffs and heals. You get party-level sustain while solo farming — the daily gold loop clears noticeably faster, and the market strategies get a second inventory.

The Line You Cannot Cross

  • Two clients per device is the safe ceiling. More instances per machine/IP risk tripping enforcement — the ban policy applies at scale.
  • Everything must stay manual. The follow command is native; input scripting and automation are not. NC's anti-bot system watches behavior patterns, and "dual client with a macro suite" reads as exactly that.

Used honestly, dual clienting is one of AION 2's quiet quality-of-life wins — a second window, a following alt, and double the loot.
