Baklon Conquest Raid Guide: All Three Bosses and Every Wipe Mechanic

How to beat the Baklon Sky Isle conquest raid in AION 2 — poison flowers, petrification slams, attribute counters and the final boss's red stone check.

Baklon is the final boss of AION 2's conquest-difficulty raid set on the Baklon Sky Isle. The encounter chain runs three bosses, and each tests a different discipline: poison movement, attribute discipline, and coordinated saves. Here's every mechanic that wipes unprepared groups.
Boss One: Poison Cycles and Big Jumps
The opening fight revolves around poison management and group movement. Healers — track the team's HP bar the entire fight.
The antidote flower. When the boss shouts its bloom call, the whole group stacks to center and focuses basic attacks on the antidote flower that spawns. Destroying it creates a circular safe zone — everyone steps inside to cleanse their poison debuff.
The poison circle dance. After the cleanse, the boss marks every player and spawns poison pools under each one. The group moves as one unit, rotating clockwise through four waves. If you get boxed in, spend a short dodge-distance blink — but don't overshoot.
The jump slams. Wave four flows into the boss's big jump attack. After the first jump, it charges forward once (light damage, returns to place) — then comes the second jump: don't dodge outside the safe circle, the outside applies a stacking bleed. Veteran groups can skip both jumps by burning the stagger bar in time.
Boss Two: Petrify and Attribute Counters
The middle boss is simpler — two mechanics, both about discipline.
The petrify slam. Ground slam telegraphs a yellow circle; getting hit petrifies you. Petrified players die to the follow-up burst unless freed — a teammate can break the stone with basic attacks, but standard play leaves them to it and keeps the DPS uptime.
The attribute counter. When the boss glows purple, all magic damage heals it — casters and healers stop attacking entirely until the glow fades. When it glows red, the roles invert: physical attackers hold, casters unload. Calling these swaps out loud is half the fight.
The Final Boss: Three Wipe Checks
The last fight chains three mechanics that punish hesitation.
The scepter grab (melee beware). When the boss raises its scepter, it roots the nearest melee player — a spreading yellow circle forms around them, and the root ticks hard damage into a kill combo. Ranged must free the rooted player with basic attacks fast; set your target-lock keybinds in advance. More than two melee in the comp risks chain roots — comp accordingly.
The red stone. The boss leaps center and drags everyone in, then spawns a glowing red stone. The whole group burns it down immediately — if the stone survives, it's a raid wipe. The moment it shatters, scatter: everyone disengages to distance before the detonation.
The full-screen jump dodge. The finisher: red-field warning, yellow rectangle slams across the ground, and the only answer is rhythm — jump the rectangles, and on the third jump, glide to clear the screen-wide lethal hit.
Master this chain and the conquest tier opens up: the mechanics here echo through AION 2's harder content, and the gear you win funds the godstone and affix hunt that defines endgame power. Bring a Cleric who knows the poison phases.
