AION 2 Kinah Guide: What It Is and Every Way to Earn It

Kinah is AION 2's core currency — here's what it buys and every earning channel, from missions and daily refreshes to the base supply loop and the 8% auction fee.

A trading city seen from above — Kinah changes hands at this scale all day long.

Kinah is the lifeblood of AION 2's economy — the currency that moves through quests, dungeons and the marketplace, buying gear, materials and shop items. Free players earn it steadily; smart players earn it deliberately.

What Kinah Buys

Everything the endgame runs on: equipment, crafting materials, marketplace items, and the services that keep your gear improving. The auction house prices its rarities in Kinah, which makes your earning rate your gearing rate.

The Earning Channels

  • Story missions. The base income — modest per quest but continuous, and you'd be running them anyway (leveling guide).
  • Daily and weekly quests. Dailies refresh at 4:00 AM; weeklies roll over Wednesday at 4:00. Both are scheduled Kinah — don't leave them on the table (see the daily routine).
  • The base supply loop. The outpost supply system is a signature earner: supply NPCs appear in bases at dusk selling goods, and a quest loop that collects base support tokens from dailies and weeklies lets you sell to base NPCs for Kinah, cosmetics, or skin skills.
  • Dungeon runs. Kills — trash, elites and bosses — drop Kinah directly, and end-of-run settlements pay by performance. Group dungeons like the ranked transcension runs, weekly raid dungeons and expedition dungeons each add their own channel.
  • The marketplace. Selling surplus gear and materials is the big swing: weapons, armor and accessories move fast, and reading supply-and-demand windows turns stockpiles into profit. The house takes an 8% fee, so price accordingly.

Free Players' Bottom Line

Nothing in the Kinah economy is gated behind payment — the monetization overview breaks down what money actually buys (mostly convenience), and none of it is the currency itself. Combine the quest channels with the daily gold dungeon and your Kinah curve stays ahead of your enchanting bills.
