NC's Q3 2025 report confirmed AION 2 goes global in 2026, and the Western version ships with underwater combat alongside DLSS 4 and Reflex support.

The global launch of AION 2 now has an official window: 2026. NC's third-quarter 2025 earnings report put the worldwide release of the MMO in the second half of the year, with Steam listing a October 5, 2026 date as of September. (The launch reveal trailer's description originally pointed at September — the store page is the current source of truth.)
2026 Is NC's Pipeline Year
AION 2 anchors a lineup that also includes Cinder City, Limit Zero Breakers and Time Takers. For NC, the sequel's global debut is the year's defining event — the company is effectively re-entering the Western MMO market with a franchise that peaked at 7 million monthly users.
What's New for the Global Version
Two details matter most for Western players:
- Underwater combat joins the vertical war. The series' signature aerial fighting now extends below the surface, making AION 2's world genuinely three-dimensional — sky, land and sea. Our diving mechanics guide explains how the underwater layer works day-to-day.
- DLSS 4 and Reflex at launch. The global client ships with NVIDIA's multi-frame generation and latency reduction tech built in — see the DLSS 4 and Reflex breakdown.
