AION 2 Name and Appearance Changes: Costs and Free Ticket Events

How to change your character's name or appearance in AION 2 — the in-game rename flow, appearance change tickets, and the free event windows that hand them out.

Regret is a universal character-creation experience. AION 2 gives you two official escape hatches — one for your name, one for your face — and a third that costs nothing but attention.
Changing Your Name
The rename flow lives directly in the character system: open the character menu, select the character, and use the modify button under the character name to enter a new one and confirm. The change applies to that character only.
Two facts worth knowing before you do it: the rename doesn't touch your gender setting or any other attribute — it's purely the name string. And since names were heavily squatted during the KR/TW launch, the name you actually want may have freed up since launch week.
Changing Your Appearance
Appearance re-edits run on the appearance change ticket — and here's the surprise: the ticket currently circulates mainly as a free event reward, not a fixed-price shop item. There's no permanent ticket listing in the cash shop at a set price; the standard way to get one is to play the event calendar.
Recent examples from the live version:
- New Year PUSH rewards (January 1, 2026): the AION 2 New Year login campaign mailed a golden gift pack containing a 7-day appearance change ticket to everyone who logged in
- Redemption codes: the December 23, 2025 – January 21, 2026 code window (AION2TOGETHER) included appearance change tickets among its rewards
What This Means for Global Players
The pattern is clear: NC treats appearance changes as a retention lever, not a toll booth. Follow the event calendar at the global launch and you'll likely re-edit your look for free — and if you can't wait, the monetization overview shows where paid options sit.
