A complete tour of AION 2's headline features — Unreal Engine 5 visuals, sea-sky-land exploration, seamless flight, faction war and cross-platform play.

The sequel to AION finally landed on November 18, 2025 in Korea and Taiwan. Between the trailers and the live game, here's the feature set that defines it.
Unreal Engine 5, Across Devices
Nanite virtualized geometry and Lumen global illumination give the game its cinematic character rendering and dynamic scene lighting — with a performance budget tuned so the mobile client keeps pace. Cross-platform play between PC and mobile is built in, not bolted on.
Land, Sea and Sky — Seamlessly
The original's flight was famous; AION 2 makes it borderless. You can take off anywhere and cross the map without loading screens, and the vertical world now extends below the waterline: free swimming, underwater ruins, and sea creatures to interact with. The diving system even ties into resource gathering, and underwater combat is part of the expansion pitch for the global version.
Faction War and the Abyss
The Elyos–Asmodian split returns as the game's spine: cross-server territory battles, hundred-player fortress sieges, and rift mechanics that drop you into enemy territory. Our PvP modes guide maps every competitive bracket from 1v1 arenas to 8v8 battlefields.
Manual Combat and Eight Classes
AION 2 commits to fully manual, action-style combat — no tab-target autopilot — across the classic eight-class roster, with dungeons built for solo, party and raid sizes. New players should start with the class selection guide and the leveling roadmap.
