AION 2 Arcana System: Materials, Sources & Growth Track
Published 2026-09-294 min read
What the Arcana system is in AION 2 — the arcana materials that flow through the battle pass and season shop, and how they feed character growth.

Arcana is AION 2's late-growth material track: a family of rare upgrade materials your character consumes after the normal upgrade stops keeping up. The full panel goes by the same name in the KR/TW live build, and while the global version will finalize its exact numbers at launch, the supply chain is already fixed — you can plan around it now.
Where Arcana Materials Come From
Three verified sources, all steady:
- The battle pass. Both tracks pay growth materials as you climb the reward line — arcana materials and magic stones are headline rewards on the 56-day passes, alongside Aether energy and cosmetics.
- The season shop. Each battle season's exchange sells growth materials — the same shop that stocks buff scrolls and gear components — so a disciplined daily loop converts into arcana progress without a second grind.
- Events. Limited events like the Shugo Festival pay their own currencies for growth consumables; when arcana materials rotate into an event shop, they're among the first things to sell out.
Where They Go
Arcana materials feed the upgrades that sit above the standard loop — the layer that keeps paying after your enhancement stones have done their job and your gear level has hit the content gates. That's the practical way to think about the system: enhancement raises the gear you found; arcana raises the character wearing it. The Daevanion boards work the same axis — points, not drops — and the two together are why two characters in identical gear can perform worlds apart.

What the Global Version Will Finalize
The KR/TW live balance defines the arcana track's exact costs and stat lines, and those numbers are patch-window figures until the global launch locks them. The structure, though, is stable: materials flow from passes, season shops and events into character-level growth — the same economy the monetization overview maps from the shop side. Treat every specific arcana cost you read from the KR/TW build as approximate until global launch confirms it, and plan your stockpiling, not your spending.
