AION 2 Quest Types: Episode, Regional, Daily & Weekly
Published 2026-09-295 min read
Every quest type in AION 2 explained — yellow Episode story quests, green Regional quests, 5-per-day Mission Quests and 12-per-week Command Quests.

AION 2's quest board reads like a pyramid: two colors of map markers carry the story and the world, the Duty menu runs the daily-and-weekly grind, and Supply Requests convert your surplus into endgame currency. Each layer pays differently, and the players who layer them finish the week funded.
Episode Quests (Yellow Diamonds)
The main story line — yellow diamond markers on the map, tracked in the Journal's Episodes tab. Episode quests pay the largest experience in the game and unlock each zone's systems as you go, which makes them the fastest route to the level-45 cap. Some steps hold until the zone's own progress fills, so pair them with light exploration.
Regional Quests (Green Diamonds)
Side content with level requirements to unlock. Regional quests pay less XP than the story, but their rewards are gear and progression items — most importantly Daevanion Crystals for your Daevanion boards, the skill-point system that defines your build. Clear them as they come available and the boards fill themselves.
Daily: Duty → Mission Quests
Five Mission Quests per day, with the reset timer visible in the Duty menu. The package is exactly what a daily should be: Abyss Points and Kinah up front, plus Enhancement Stones, Odyle Energy, materials, equipment, Key: Hidden Cube entries and Bio-Research Base Challenge Tickets for the daily dungeon. During events, directive-book missions add event tokens on top — the tokens that trade for revival stones and season shop credit.
Weekly: Duty → Command Quests
Twelve Command Quests per week per character, started by purchasing a scroll from the Command Shop Merchant. They're harder than dailies and pay more Abyss Points — the biggest AP faucet for players who'd rather not live in PvP.

Supply Requests: Items In, Abyss Points Out
The Abyss Supply Request window is a quest type you complete with your inventory: Emergency contracts (daily, low AP), Weekly contracts (mid AP), and two season-length lines — Season: Crafting (hand your own crafted goods) and Season: Boss (deliver boss drops). Everything pays into the Abyss Store, where high-tier gear waits. Full mechanics live in our Abyss points guide.
One secret mission runs alongside them all: the daily secret mission that pays treasure map fragments — collect all four types and the mission chest opens.
