AION 2's equipment system in one page: what weapons, armor, accessories, belts, amulets and ancient glyph stones do, across all 16 gear types.

What Equipment Is in AION 2 and What Does Each Slot Do?
AION 2 gear falls into five families — weapons, armor, accessories, belts & amulets, and ancient glyph stones — and every family follows the same two rules: wearing it makes you meaningfully stronger, and enhancing it (the enchanting system) pushes those numbers further. This page is the visual compendium: every gear type, what it's for, and where it comes from.
Weapons
Equipping a weapon unlocks attacks and skills and increases the damage your attacks deal; enhancing a weapon raises its damage and stats further. The level-4 weapon spike and the leveling route's +10 enchanted weapon are the classic examples of how big that jump is.

The other melee and healing archetypes fight with melee one-handers: the Templar's longsword, the Assassin's dagger, the Cleric's mace and the Chanter's staff (weapon-to-class pairings per the live KR/TW meta).
Armor
Wearing armor increases your HP and defense and reduces the damage you take; enhancement raises defense and stats further. Four slots carry the set:

Accessories
Accessories grant different effects depending on their type — they're where offensive and utility stats live outside your weapon:

Accessory enhancement adds further stats. Some high-end accessories carry damage amplification / damage resistance-class effects.
Belts & Amulets

Belts and amulets are obtained by running quests and upgraded through the material-transformation system — the KR/TW gear-progression loop beyond plain enchanting.
Ancient Glyph Stones
Glyph stones are the stat-socket layer: wearing them increases various stats, and depending on a stone's trait those stats lean toward extra attack/defense, PvE or PvP performance. Enhancement raises their stats further, including damage resistance.

Glyphs are the stat layer; for combat procs — a weapon that fights with its own personality — see the godstone guide.
How It All Fits Together
- Level 1–4: first gear set from quests; the level-4 weapon is the first real spike.
- Leveling: enchant the weapon (+10 is the classic target) before spreading scrolls across armor.
- Endgame: accessories and glyph stones carry your offensive stats; godstones add the proc layer.
The weapon you slot depends on your class — start from the eight-class index or jump straight to the tier list.
