AION 2 Season Content: Passes, Ranks and Event Shops

How AION 2's battle seasons work — the 56-day pass tracks, ranked dungeon seasons from Iron to Challenger, and the season event shops.

AION 2 runs its repeatable content on a season clock. Battle seasons bundle the progression passes, the ranked dungeon ladder, the big supply contracts and the limited events into one cycle — and every layer of it pays into the same principle: play through the season, get paid at the reset.
The Battle Pass: Two Tracks, 56 Days
Each battle pass runs 56 days across two tracks — basic and advanced (KR/TW launch pricing ran both around the same cost as the membership tiers, per our monetization breakdown). Where memberships sell convenience, the pass sells growth: the reward track pays Aether energy, arcana materials, magic stones, and cosmetics including rare pets and mounts. Free progression continues underneath it — the pass accelerates a loop that exists either way.
Ranked Dungeon Seasons
The competitive PvE ladder is seasonal end to end. Nightmare Dungeons carry ranks from Iron up to Challenger 1, with grades from Diamond through Challenger paying out a season rewards chest — kinah, cosmetics and a stack of the dungeon's own currency — based on your best grade achieved, recalculated hourly and delivered at the next season start. The same rhythm shows in the raid and trial menus: rank points, a live season timer, and attempt counters that refill on the reset.

Season Contracts and Shops
The season layer extends into the economy: Supply Requests run dedicated Season: Crafting and Season: Boss contracts (long windows, high Abyss Point payouts), and event shops rotate through with it. The Shugo Festival is the flagship — nine rotating mini-games, Centuryroot Tokens for wings, skins, pets and growth consumables, and daily Reward Keys: four per day on a subscription (28 cap) or one per day free (7 cap). Spend keys only on strong finishes — the payout scales with placement.
What the Season Pays For
Everything seasonal feeds the same three tanks: growth materials for your Daevanion boards, currency for the gear gated at 1,000+ item level, and cosmetics for everything else. Miss a season and the passes rotate; the ranked ladder just resets — but the shops and contracts only pay while the season's live, which is why the daily routine keeps referencing it.
