AION 2 runs its repeatable content on a 56-day battle season. One clock drives everything: the pass, the ranked ladders, the supply contracts and the limited events. The Season screen is the control panel — it lists the active content, the season tasks, the schedule, and last season's results, with a quick-join button for each pillar: Abyss, Arena, Transcendence, Nightmare, Subjugation War and Awakening Battle.
The Pass Itself
The pass runs two tracks — basic and advanced — over the same 56 days, priced around the membership tiers in KR/TW. Where memberships sell convenience, the pass sells growth: Aether energy, arcana materials, magic stones, and cosmetics up to rare pets and mounts. Free progression continues underneath it either way — the pass accelerates a loop that exists without it.
Season Tasks Pay the Real Currency
Every seasonal pillar carries its own task chain plus a shared weekly list, and completing them pays season coins — the currency the Season Shop exists for. The shop's stock is the practical endgame shopping list: combat buff scrolls, growth materials, gear components, and the intellect-oriented pet box that DPS classes should grab first. Task progress resets with each season, so unfinished chains are lost value — finish or write them off.
Ranks Decide the Bonuses
Each pillar tracks rank points separately, and the ladder pays by tier at season's end. The clearest example is the Nightmare ladder: grades from Diamond up to Challenger 1, recalculated hourly, with the chest paid at the next season start based on your best grade achieved. The same rhythm repeats across raid and trial menus — which is why the daily routine keeps referencing the season clock.
The Simple Version
Play the season's pillars, cash the task coins before reset, spend them in the Season Shop, and collect your rank chest at rollover. Miss a season and the passes rotate; the shops and contracts only pay while the clock is live.
