AION 2 Transcendence System: GL Gates & Stage Content

How AION 2's Transcendence works — the gear-level gates at 1,200 and 1,800, the instanced stage chain behind them, and how enhancing unlocks each step.

Transcendence is AION 2's gear-gated stage content: a chain of instanced combat stages that opens at 1,200 gear level and forms the bridge from mid-game to the 1,800+ endgame tiers. Your character level stops at 45; after that, gear level (GL) is the only progression counter that matters, and Transcendence is where that counter gets spent.
The Gate Numbers
A normal-paced story run lands you at 900–1,000 GL. The late game then unlocks in steps: 1,000 opens Conquest expeditions, 1,200 opens the Transcendence stages, and 1,800+ qualifies you for the endgame tiers (approximate thresholds, KR/TW patch window). Each stage carries its own recommended GL, and the ladder climbs from there — which is why the enhancing screen becomes your real character sheet after level 45.
Enhancing Is the Entry Ticket
Enhancement needs kinah and Enhancement Stones, both paid out by quests, dungeons and strongholds. The priority order that saves the most kinah: the Revelation Amulet and Noble Belt first — the two pieces you never replace — then your weapon, everything else last and sparsely. The amulet and belt upgrade along a fixed path: Rare to +10, morph to Epic at 0, back to +10, exchange to Unique, repeat one final time.

What the Stages Pay
The Transcendence chain runs as a seasonal pillar too — its task line pays season coins, and the stages themselves feed the same material tables as the rest of the endgame. A membership adds a larger Odyle Energy Cube selection inside, the same convenience it applies to Expedition and the Sanctuary.
The Loop, Compressed
Enhance to the gate → clear the stage → earn materials → enhance again. When the wall stalls you, seal dungeons and strongholds refill the stone supply — Transcendence progress and the enhancement economy are one system viewed from two sides.
