AION 2 Awakening Battle: Nightmare Altar Runs and Weekly Pay
Published 2026-09-293 min read
The Awakening Battle in AION 2 — the weekly Nightmare Altar trial from the season menu, its Extreme difficulty push and the endgame-currency payout.

The Awakening Battle is AION 2's weekly season boss fight, run at the Nightmare Altar, and its payout is a precious endgame currency material you can exchange for Kinah. It's one of the six pillars on the Season menu, alongside Nightmare Dungeons and the Subjugation War — and it's the weekly task worth clearing every single rotation.
The Nightmare Altar
The venue describes itself plainly: an altar where restless souls give offerings, guarded by the twisted army of the night — defeat the spell-cursed horde and seize the forbidden realm (entry text, global build). The trial UI carries a resurrection limit and a hard time limit (14:00 on Difficult, approximate), so a clean, fast clear matters as much as the kill itself.
Take Extreme When You Can
Difficulties step from Easy up to Extreme, and the weekly payout scales with the push. The established advice from the weekly money routine: cap the run on Extreme difficulty whenever your gear level allows — the reward is an endgame currency material that converts to Kinah, one of the biggest weekly incomes in the game.

Ranks and the Season Clock
Like every seasonal pillar, the battle feeds rank points into your season standing, with the attempt counter and season timer visible right in the menu. If the Extreme wall stops you, the sealed dungeon tier is where the gear-level catch-up happens.
