AION 2 Flight Scenery Walkthrough: Story Chapter

What AION 2's Flight Scenery chapter covers — the flight-gated story steps, why wings matter, and how to clear the chapter without getting lost.

Flight Scenery is the chapter that makes AION 2's vertical map the point. Where earlier story beats keep you largely grounded, this one sends you up — across cliffs, over water and between platforms that only wings can reach — and it is the natural place to properly learn flight before the endgame leans on it.
Flight Is a Skill, Not a Taxi
AION 2's traversal is three-dimensional: gliding crosses the vertical map, and the sky routes are frequently faster than any ground path. The chapter teaches the pieces that matter later — managing glide, reading a landing before you commit, and using height to reach markers the map draws flat. Treat each flight step as practice rather than filler; the same instincts carry into the Abyss, where air and ground combat share one battlefield.
Clearing the Chain
The steps alternate between travel and short fights, with most markers placed where a direct glide is the intended route. Two habits help: climb to high ground first and fly down to objectives in sequence, and watch for the chapter's optional high-perch markers while you are already airborne — they are cheap XP for no extra travel. If a step seems unreachable, look up before you look around; the route is almost always above you.

What Carries Forward
By the end of the chapter you should be comfortable treating the sky as a road — which is what the later zones assume. Combine it with the leveling route and your travel time between Episode markers drops sharply for the rest of the story.
