AION 2 Battle Season Rules: Resets, Ranks and Season Coins

How AION 2 battle seasons run — fixed 56-day cycles, what resets each season, the hourly rank recalculation and the season coins that feed the Season Shop.

AION 2 battle seasons are fixed-period cycles: every season has a clear start and end, the next season follows immediately, and everything ranked inside it — points, grades, task progress — can reset when it flips. One clock drives the pass, the ranked ladders and the pillar content.
What the Season Screen Shows
The Season menu is the control panel for all of it: the content list for the live season, the season task list, the schedule, and last season's results — with quick access into each pillar, from Nightmare Dungeons to the Subjugation War.
The Rules That Actually Matter
- Ranks pay. Each piece of season content ranks players by achievement and pays rewards by rank standing.
- Grades recalculate hourly. Your grade follows rank and total rank points, refreshed about every hour; repeat rewards follow clear-time grades.
- Best result counts. Season rewards land at the start of the next season based on your best grade achieved — one bad week doesn't sink the payout.
- Miss it, lose it. Season rewards are only obtainable during that season; progress and tasks reset when the season changes.

Season Coins: the Task Payout
Season tasks come in two layers — each content pillar's own tasks plus weekly tasks — and the headline reward is the season coin, the currency of the Season Shop's special items. Coin progress wipes with the season, so spend before the flip; the full shop map is in the redemption shop guide.
The current cycle runs 56 days, which makes the weekly routine — capped nightmare runs, the Awakening Battle, festival keys — the whole maintenance cost of a good payout.
